Patrick Miller (Mérida 17, Roma, Mexico City) – this club is legendary among Mexicans, because of its status as a popular venue for 80s music. In Mexico, “80s Music” includes “High Energy” disco (favored among the gay crowd in USA and elsewhere back in the 80s), “Italo Disco” (pop-flavored dance music created in Italy and elsewhere in Europe for that market, as well as the Soviet bloc countries and the Japan market), as well as some “New Wave” music from the days of MTV.
Postings of “Patrick Miller” music on YouTube has kept such sounds alive these days, driving the demand for “80s Music” nights among a diverse crowd (both 20-something year olds who heard this music on YouTube, and older party goers who were actually around when that music was popular at clubs).
